Distro T2 SDE

T2 was the first distro to switch from sox.sf.net to sox_ng, currently at 14.4.3.1 (2024-12-05).

You might also like to change the maintainer email from sox_ng@proton.me to sox_ng@fastmail.com or sox-ng@groups.io (the mailing list).

Proton was dumped because

• It is totally insecure because they send you the JavaScript you run every time you log into it, so it would take nothing for them to change it to send your every thought to the NSA as you type it, should those nice people ask in their usual persuasive and convincing manner.
• They seem to have bucketloads of money to throw away, according to their $millions of donations page, but at the same time they are always begging at the users, and if you register two accounts (sox and martin) and pay 50 quid for one, they won't let you download via IMAP with the other unless you give them another 50 quid. They seemed OK at first.
