noisered uses a constant FFT size of 2048 samples
Description
noiseredworks by doing FFTs on the input file of a constant size of 2048 samples,so its precision in time and in frequency depends on the sample rate in use.
For example, at 48000Hz, its frequency resolution is 48000/2048
which is 23Hz and it can resolve 23 sonic events per second.
Now that we have FFTW support, it would be better to let users
choose the FFT size (or, rather, the FFT frequency, which is (sample_rate/fft_size)
to choose the spacing of the frequency bins and the resolvable number of events per second.
